The Software Bureau announced the upgrade of it’s free to use online sortation service MyMailing.co.uk. The improved service now allows printing companies, mailing houses and corporate mailing departments to achieve the largest postage discounts by sorting data to the Mailmark standard which now accounts for close to 2 billion mailed items per year. Mailmark sorts are priced on a pay as you go, nil commitment basis with all other Royal Mail sorts offered free of charge.

MyMailing.co.uk helps organisations dramatically cut the cost of postage by sorting address data into Royal Mail compliant sequences and batches. Royal Mail incentivise users of direct mail with significant cost savings for complying with Royal Mail sortation requirements. To achieve these savings traditionally requires purchasing installed software and undertaking training, however MyMailing.co.uk removes these hurdles with an easy to use, free to sign up online service. There are no contracts and users can create an account, upload an address file and commence a sort in just a few minutes.

In addition to sorting address data to the Mailmark standard, MyMailing.co.uk also provides a barcode font to help users display the necessary Mailmark barcode on their letters and packs. Rendering compliant barcodes is a common barrier to adopting Mailmark so this free font makes it possible to adopt the service even if standard office document processing software is being used to mail-merge addresses. Mailmark also requires users to upload an eManifest file to Royal Mail on the day the mail is collected and as of today MyMailing.co.uk automatically includes an eManifest file compatible with the leading eManifest management application GeMMA within every Mailmark sort.

Comments Martin Rides, Managing Director of The Software Bureau: “The purpose of MyMailing is to make it as simple and cost effective as possible for organisations to start using direct mail as a communication channel. Adopting Mailmark is the only way to achieve the best prices for postage so it is vitally important we offer this service to our users. MyMailing has already proven that by removing technical hurdles and reducing costs to entry that more organisations will choose direct mail so we are delighted to be continuing along this path with the addition of Mailmark to the service.”
