I entered the DM business in 1986 after ‘pestering’ the directors of Sudbury company Prolog, who eventually capitulated. Since then I have worked for many companies including GWC, Olwen Direct Mail, Olwen International in Baltimore, and most recently, the Software Bureau (tSB). My roles have covered data services, direct mail production, and account management. I joined tSB in November 2000, prior to us having any clients, and have been fortunate enough to experience the conception, birth and growth into maturity of Cygnus!

Favourite books: John Simpson – A Mad World, My Masters, Times Atlas of the World.

Favourite films: The Deerhunter, Fargo, Life of Brian.

Favourite bands/artistes: Led Zeppelin, Tom Waits, Deep Purple, Yes, Dave Matthews Band.

Frustrated: Rock drummer (7” singles still available), Explorer.

Football team: Colchester United (hurrah!).

Previous jobs: Signwriter, Squid Gutter, Olive Oil Presser, Pizza Dresser, Barman (Who hasn’t been one of them?).

Last CD’s purchased: Rush – Snakes and Arrows, Robert Plant/Alison Krauss – Raising Sand, Eric Clapton and JJ Cale – Road to Escondido.
