Born in St Mary Cray. My first job and experience of computers was as Art Editor for the computing magazine "Systems International" published by IPC. After working as a freelance Children's Book illustrator and greetings card designer and looking for something more challenging than drawing teddy bears I moved into programming and worked as a Software Developer for NTOS systems, Head Software International and DPS Direct Mail before joining The Software Bureau in 2006.
Favourite books: The Water Babies – Charles Kingsley, The Lonely Planet Guide to Egypt, novels by James Herbert.
Favourite films: Fifth Element, Spinal Tap, The Last Emperor, Amadeus, Big Fish.
Favourite Music: The Clash, Flamenco, “World Music”, Amy Winehouse, Think Floyd, anything from the 1980s.
Favourite quote: “There are 10 kinds of people – those that understand binary and those that don't”
Favourite joke: How do you kill a Circus? Go for the Juggler!
Pastimes: Playing classical guitar, dressage, tennis, genealogy, walking, gardening and re-training ex-racehorses.
